The Party Painter
Last weekend while helping a fellow photographer out I encountered a unique wedding service that I want to share with all of you. Martin Ashley Hardy is a painter and during the course of the reception he creates a one of a kind work of art for the bride and groom. The guests loved it. He had, at times, quite a crowd of spectators. By the end of the evening the bride and groom had a beautiful painting to hang in their home that will forever remind them of their wonderful day. Engagement Session in Central Park
Last Sunday Glenn and I spent the afternoon photographing Christine and Fil in Central Park. They are an amazing couple, we had a blast with them. We can hardly wait to to photograph their wedding next April.

Check out a few pics from an amazing wedding Glenn and I photographed Saturday at Lake Valhalla Country Club in Montville. It was an ideal day and the bride and groom were super fun and adventurous. Up for absolutely anything we caught the bride playing tennis in her wedding gown and then she had the best man row her and her new husband around the lake before making their grand entrance into the cocktail reception. The day went smoothly with a real laid back couple who really enjoyed every moment, nice people, perfect weather, and a great crew - what else could you ask for?
Tim bonding with Mom
Last night the opportunity presented itself for my mother and I to attend a Yankee game together. While I am not a huge baseball fan, I do enjoy going to a game every now and then. My mother, on the other hand is a RABID Yankees fan. We had a blast. The Yankees manager flew out of the dugout frothing at the mouth throwing his hat in the dirt, screaming at the umpire. It was quite a scene and it got him ejected. But if that did not provide enough excitement, moments later Robinson Cano singled home the winning run with two outs, in the bottom of the ninth, with Hideki Matsui scoring from second base by sliding in under left fielder Jay Payton's high throw. It was amazing to watch my mom go NUTS. To be fair the whole place went nuts. Despite the cold and the on-again-off-again drizzle it was an great game and I always enjoy hanging with my mom.
Amazing lunch with my Bro
I went to Brooklyn today to help my brother with some home renovations and we went to the legendary Peter Luger for lunch. This place has been serving the finest steaks since 1887. While we didn't work up enough of an appetite to order their famous porterhouse I can say that their burgers are second to none. This is a photo of me waiting for mine taken with my iPhone.
Glenn featured in a Group Photography Exibit
Glenn will be exhibiting in a group photography show featuring the photographers of the Teaneck Creek.
The group photographed the changing seasons at the creek and is lead by artist/photographer Rachel Banai. The show opens on Saturday, May 10 at the Puffin Cultural Foundation 20 Puffin Way (off Teaneck Rd.) in Teaneck, New Jersey (201-836-8923).
Scotty Hard Benefit Concert
A very dear family friend Scott Harding, (aka Scotty Hard), music producer/engineer extraordinaire, was in a catastrophic car accident last month. At 3am on Friday, February 15 while returning home from a late night mixing session the cab he was riding in was broadsided by some joy riders at extreme speed in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The impact left him in serious condition with multiple injuries, including a crushed T5 vertebrae. Partially paralyzed, Scott’s condition is serious and like many dedicated artists he is without health insurance and is facing very large medical and legal fees. Scott underwent surgery earlier this month and is in good spirits, but the road to recovery will be a long and uncertain one.
For those of you who do not know Scott he is a Vancouver native and longtime New Yorker. He has had a long and flourishing career as a producer and engineer in the hip-hop and jazz genres. His list of production credits include the Grammy award winning Chris Rock CD Never Scared and an impressive artist list that includes: Charlie Hunter, Tricky, Crooklyn Dub, Dubadelic, Bailter Space, DJ Logic, Badar Ali Khan, Sex Mob, Medeski Martin & Wood, Material, Soul Crib, Michael Blake, Chris Brown, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Wu-Tang Clan, Vernon Reid, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, PM Dawn, De La Soul, Boogie Down Productions, Brand New Heavies, Prince Paul, Biz Markie, Chubb Rock, Teo Macero… to name but a few.
To help Scott’s cause, his friends and the dedicated musical community came together for a benefit concert on March 19, at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. The bill for the sold out show included jazz guitar legend John Scofield, Antibalas, Bill Laswell, MMW's John Medeski and Billy Martin, Marco Benevento and Joe Russo of Benevento/Russo Duo, Eric Krasno, Neal Evans, Sex Mob, DJ Logic, John Ellis, Michael Black, Vijay Iyer, Tommy Hamilton, and Kevin Kendrick.
